Aim:
To equip aged care professionals with the knowledge, skills, and systems required to respond effectively to serious incidents, ensuring safety, dignity, and compliance with the 2025 Aged Care Quality Standards.
Course Description:
This course provides a practical and trauma-informed approach to managing serious incidents in aged care. Aligned with the 2025 Aged Care Quality Standards and the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS), the module guides learners through identification, reporting, investigation, and recovery processes. Participants will explore legal obligations, ethical responsibilities, and strategies to foster a culture of safety, transparency, and continuous improvement.
