Aim: 

 

To build the capability of aged care professionals to meet reporting and compliance obligations under the 2025 Aged Care Quality Standards, ensuring transparency, safety, and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Course Description: 

 

This course provides aged care staff and leaders with a comprehensive understanding of compliance and reporting requirements under the 2025 Aged Care Quality Standards. Through ten focused lessons, participants will explore mandatory reporting, incident management, clinical governance, and accreditation processes. The course emphasizes the connection between compliance and quality outcomes, equipping learners to foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and person-centred care.

Learner Outcomes:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the role of regulatory bodies and compliance frameworks in aged care

  • Identify mandatory reporting requirements, including SIRS obligations and timeframes

  • Implement effective complaint handling and feedback systems

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and legally compliant documentation

  • Prepare for audits and engage with external oversight bodies

  • Embed continuous improvement practices aligned with the 2025 Standards

  • Clarify roles and responsibilities across organisational levels for compliance
